is a creative studio focused on architecture formed by a group of architects led by Silvio Machado, one of the founders of MAPA, with a consolidated experience that spans the last 15 years - with numerous national and international projects and awards. We carry a legacy of expertise in prefabrication and landscape, seeking sensitive and careful ways to apply the efficient rationalization of industrialization without overlapping the subjectivities and complexities of human life.

The i.e. project portfolio was recognized by several awards, such as Dezeen Award,Mies Crown Hall Prize from IIT College of Architecture and the IX It is X Ibero-American Architecture Biennial.

They also had projects published in TIME Magazine,Financial Times,Wallpaper*,Dwell, Casabella, Interior Design, Azure, Wired, Elle, Arquitectura Viva, Casa Vogue, among others.

We also work in a holistic and systemic way, using contemporary material, creative and procedural tools to produce projects that cause a positive human and environmental impact. We prioritize the generation of solutions and unique user-focused experiences, in fine tune with the natural, cultural and social contexts.

verbal phrase: Expression used to initiate a further explanation in relation to something that was said previously (abbreviation: i.e.). = that is (to say)

etymological origin: Latin phrase id is which means "this is (to say)".

We chose the Latin expression id est as a word-symbol of the creative process we employ. In its verbal phrase intention (to represent “therefore” or “this is”) there lies a textual, creative and formal inflection point between the problem and the thesis; between initial and final conditions; between the conditions and the project.

Id est is not the beginning of an idea, an end unto itself or the closure of a process.

It is an open invitation to a conclusion.
